WHAT TO EXPECT
Most of our time together will be space for you to dance and move your body freely in a welcoming, inclusive space; with some invitations for connection or deeper embodiment tools offered at the beginning and end of the practice.
ARRIVAL - TUNING IN: The first 15 minutes is free space for arrival and warming up - this is time to be in moving meditation with yourself and shift your awareness from the mind into the body.
OPENING ATTUNEMENT: Following will be a brief opening circle to offer intentions based on the cycles of the Earth & Sky including a short attunement or guided embodiment practice.
FREE DANCING: There will be about an hour of open time for conscious dancing to a wide array of live-mixed music, curated to offer a meditative dance experience that follows a “wave” (the music will build slowly, peak, and resolve slowly with time for integration).
EMBODIMENT TOOLS: A short closing exercise will be offered - for example: optional partner work, somatic inquiry, expression with movement, writing, or art, etc.
CLOSING: We will end the dance with a brief closing circle.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I acknowledge and honor the original caretakers of the lands we gather and dance on now: among other Coast Salish people, Vashon-Maury Island is the traditional, unceded land of the sx̌ʷəbabs (“Swift Water People”), known today as part of the Puyallup Tribe, who call themselves S’Puyalupubsh - “a people who are generous and welcoming to all people (friends and strangers) who enter our lands.” I offer recognition and respect to the ancestors past, present and emerging. If there is anyone reading this statement or attending any Danser Libre classes that are descendants from any first naSons lineage, you are honored and included in this acknowledgement too.
